In today’s times, I’m glad to hear that our President “chased” women...even if the stories from women are fake. Right now, to me, it’s a resume enhancer.
OTOH, women who falsely claim that our President “groped” them, shows that women still want real men.
So while she was screaming for help, the Bergdorf staff did nothing?
Or did she scream for help?

I met a lady a couple or so years ago who had some business dealings with him (she had a picture of them together). He had offered her a job but she turned him down because she didn’t want to move to New York. The job was offered because of her skills, not her looks, though she was an attractive woman.
She also said that he was very polite, courteous, and professional, quite friendly but not remotely inappropriate. She did not for a minute believe any allegations that he had mistreated women in any way.
I agree with you-if the story were true you’d have a line of women miles long willing to say that he had acted inappropriately, or that they had been warned by other women who knew him to watch out for him and not be alone with him.

Back in the day a woman you essentially picked up flirting in the lingerie section of an expensive NYC store who agreed to go into a dressing room with you to try on clear lingerie for you was expecting some sort of quickie—and the norm was not for the man to verbally ask for permission in such circumstances, step by step.
Again, I’m not buying her story, but if it were to have happen it wouldn’t mean that Trump transgressed other than on his wedding vows, which we pretty much all know he did serially.

Of course, there were some men and women who were into "Plato's Retreat." They were outside my circle of friends.
I don’t mean specifically in stores in lingerie, I mean in general, if you were going into an enclosed area to undress and put on see-through lingerie with a man you had just met, you weren’t looking to share cookie recipes.
I don’t attribute this to direct, personal experience in a lingerie changing room or elsewhere, but there is no way such an interaction like that took place without it being presumed consensual. E.g., I knew a then-young man who was on the road a lot for sales back in the ‘80s who used to talk about seeing an attractive woman in a car next to him on the highway and being able to gesture lifting his hand as if toasting with a drink, then pointing to the exit for them to get off together: the beginning of a hookup or a one-night stand.
And, once more, I don’t believe this particular story at all.

Donald was handsome, rich, well-known and the darling of NYC elite, as well as the sports and entertainment elites. Nothing negative was even whispered to the media about him until he announced for POTUS.
Just look at who he is photographed with during the 80s, 90s
and oughts. Everyone is always smiling widely. The only time he is touching a woman is when they are dating/married and he has his arm around her, posing.

High end stores know dressing rooms are where garments can get shoplifted.
Store security keeps an eye on what goes in and what comes out.
There might be 20 people watching the security cameras at Bergdorf at any time.
That may be some of it; but I’m sure there are interests recruiting these nuts.
This is one reason why I hated shopping at Bergdorf’s. Even before security cameras, the sales personnel were a nuisance. In the dressing room, a head would pop in every two minutes: “May I help you? May I return these to the racks?” The story of this woman is untrue on the face of it.
