Earlier this month an anarchist group that consists of UT Austin students called the Autonomous Student Network shared a tweet threatening to dox students who considered joining the Young Conservatives of Texas and Turning Point USA during freshman orientation.
“Hey #UT23! Do you wanna be famous? If you join YCT or Turning Point USA, you just might be. Your name and more could end up on an article like one of these,” the tweet said, linking to previous doxxing posts of conservative students at the school. “So be sure to make smart choices at #UTOrientation.”
What a nuanced argument.
Obviously a great candidate for college.
Well, there was the Hitler Youth,.
Now, I suppose, UT Austin hosts the Stalin Youth.

Twenty five years ago, it would have been easy to recruit just a handful of brothers to set out to a rally, just to scope and follow just one of those punks back to his hiding hole. We’d then likely superglue his azz to a brick wall, just to send a message. Oh the joys of being reckless, prankster youth.
With the President’s comment to public institutions...you could call up the DoJ and I suspect you could classify this as a ‘hate-crime’, and ask the university if they want to let these Brown-Shirt thugs stay around.

This is a case where any member of a group which is threatening another student’s free speech with violence against them, ought to by all that is reasonable be kicked out of the university.

Having worked for two universities for decades before retiring, the faculty and administrations and most students fully agree with intimidating,threatening and punishing anyone with whom they disagree: read Trump and Constitutionalist types on campus. There is no free speech there.
As long as our system is this way, the liberal donors will still give them money by the cartloads (left over from shopping for Nike,Gillette, Ben & Jerry's, NFL souvenirs and so on.).
