“We have friends who recently moved to Texas. They love it.

As long as the AC works and the fire ants stay away, it’s a great place... but increasingly blue.

Great people too.

When we left CA in 2010, there were rumblings that the state was going to institute an “Exodus Tax” (I think that was the exact phrase). It was to charge high wage earners and companies if they wanted to leave.

I thing that the more pressing issue is what to do about the big, RAT-run cities in EVERY STATE! And the states with one or two major cities, and a relatively small rural population are going to be the first to flip from Red to Blue. Take Nevada as an example. Total population, 4 million, population of Clark County (Las Vegas) 2.5 million. Guess who’s running the show there?
Why is Illinois a RAT $hit hole? Answer: Cook County (Chicago) has enough votes to run the state. Even Texas is in the process of turning Blue, thanks to it’s 3 or 4 big cities, coupled with it’s Mexican invasion. Name me a major city in this country that’s run by Republicans?

They’ll be happy there in NC, I expect.

It’s too bad conservatives aren’t staying in Florida and fighting the good fight to keep the state red. But there’s only so much you can take when surrounded by libs; I do understand that.

California’s major problem is who pays taxes here. In a State of 40 million people, only 150,000 pay the bulk of the taxes, and those 150,000 are the ones who are leaving. If the Marxists who run Silicon Valley decide to pull up stakes, the place will implode. Which I hope happens, because financial collapse is the only remedy.

No doubt you pay your fair share. 😂. You'll get a raise just by moving on over permanently.

Just buy a house in another low tax state then rent you California dwelling back to yourself. Then you wouldn’t have to physically leave.

Yes, “Socialism really will work,” the “right people” just haven’t been there to “properly implement it yet.”

The solution is Constitutional revenue caps, not locust relocation.

NY Metro property taxation is absurd.

It’s like renting your house from the local government.

The overburdened taxpayers of New York, New Jersey and California need our help, not our scorn.

Leftists generally love money more than we do. They want power, but they’ll happily keep their money if given the opportunity.

We need to create the opportunity to retain the fruits of honest hard work.

Don’t move to Georgia. We’re all rednecks y’all. And abortion of fetuses with heartbeat is no longer legal.

Yeah. I left “occupied” CT and moved down here near Raleigh back in 2008.

The farm behind our home got sold - it was inevitable. Our forest and field views are about to change drasticallly.

200+ “Affordable” houses - 1/4 acre max - cookie cutter lots. My daughter graduates HS next year - we’re weighing our options.

Repeal the 17th and 19th.
And whichever one is the income tax.

Actually, we’re trying to figure out how to get the money out of our two homes in CA w/o giving CA huge capital gains. Nevada is the antithesis of CA, NO State income tax, coupled with very low property taxes. CA is going to have a financial meltdown and when it does RE values will drop like a rock. We need to be gone before that happens.
