I was listening to Rush on a day when Cruz and Trump were effectively the last two in the primary. A caller to Rush express consternation over how anyone claiming to be a conservative could be stupid enough to not be behind Cruz when ‘we finally have a real conservative who is running as strong as Cruz.’

Rush chuckled and said, ‘I know, I know, but Trump supporters are not going to be talked into supporting Cruz.’

He followed it up with another of his apologies that he couldn’t endorse anyone and he wasn’t going to change that long term policy of his.

Rush didn’t endorse anyone, but that slip of the tongue was notable.

Two plus years ago if someone would have told me Trump a liberal NY Republican by any measure would be governing more conservatively & effectively the Reagan I would have said great wacky tobacco you’re smoking. I only voted for him to keep Hellary out of power. Every day since has been a wonderful surprise! So cut Levin a break! He’s come around, maybe others will too but since their numbers are so small I don’t really care!

Wow, I hadn’t heard that one. I’m compiling a list of outrageous NeverTrump comments Levin made during the election. I’ll have to add that to my list, right next to the time right after the election that he tried to take credit for Trump’s victory, after trashing him right up to election day.
