I reject your attempt to ignore my point. We are not arguing Orwell here. The founders had a different outlook on life. The did not regard all races as equal. It is wrong by today's standards, but it was the way they saw the wordl
I do not try to lie about what they saw. I do not try to pretend ugly thinking didn't exist. I try to accurately understand what was happening, and I try to do so without applying modern ideas about society. I try to see things through their eyes.
I want to see the ugly truth. Not the one that makes me feel good.
