The feds should be legally equipped to take ships that are used to bring drugs here. I don’t know why they’re not. At the border there are lots full of cars that were seized because they contained drugs.
It's not the "Vessel" (MSC Gayane), it's the containers. When someone crosses a land border, it's a single container, that's the responsible party. If it was a railroad, same thing, you could confiscate the car, but not the entire train or locomotive.
