The sound was something I was not ready for.
I had assumed there would be this big, continuous ROAR!; but instead it came to us as a popping type of sound - almost as if there were a large string of firecrackers going off.
Maybe it was the distance away that we were. the rocket appeared to be about 3/4 to an inch high at arms length.
They must have had some success listening from their “fishing trawlers” just outside the national limit.
Anyone remember the cheesy Lunar Lander program, written in BASIC?
I don’t know how many hours I spent fiddling with that program; changing parameters and images on the screen.
My intentions were to have a servo or two that would control a model of the LEM hanging from my ceiling, that would descend to the tabletop.
I got the model built; but I never did build the hardware for the servos. I think I may have written the subroutine for them; but many nights of sleep have occurred since that distant day.
Hard to say if this interactive video could have been made for free back then. It wasnt that long ago but tech has really advanced.
Obama was keen on spouting, you didnt build that but he can stuff it, especially on the space race. The truth of the matter is well established and documented.
Ron Howards 1995 Apollo 13 movie already set the tone for full disclosure years before the nightmare of Obama. So yes I think this kind of info disclosure was/is just a matter of public record.
No, but it sounds like fun for back then.
Moon!
Last night I fired up the Laptop and hooked up the HDMI to the 48” TV- WAY better than watching the iPhone or the LT 12” screen. I sort of made My own Mission Control.
I highly recommend doing the same if You have the Hardware. Either use an HDMI, Monitor or USB Cable or Wireless via a Router, Miracast, Screen Mirroring, Bluetooth, etc. It’s worth the effort.?pp
VHF and S-Band.
Dont forget to tune in.
And dammit, Im going to be on an airplane.
We do that when we want to watch something on YouTube.
I use a 40” 4K as my computer monitor
I just tried it on full screen
