I’ll bet her staff was saying “Let her have a few more pills and booze and she’ll pass out and we’ll get some quiet around here for a bit”.
There were probably flying lamps, dishes, hammers (used to smash phones) and smashed phones.
It was probably more dangerous than an F-5 on the ground.

The .22 rounds John Hinkcly used were sold as being explosive.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

I don’t have a problem if Dad wants to kick her out over the gun, it is his house, but his portrayal of the gun comes across as a pansy to me.

this is the kind of weapon a criminal would possess! "exploding ammunition"
I also weep that there is yet another (likely unsafe) gun owner in this country.
Stupid women ruining yet another state. This time, Nebraska! WTF??
To: servo1969
And its not a normal gun, either it is a 40-caliber semi-automatic, and she has hollow-point bullets to go with it. Earth to Mother: That IS a normal gun, dear.

Amy is the advice columnist the father is writing to. Reading comprehension is our friend.

Yeah, when I read the article I was just assuming that it was the daughter's mother. What a wuss.
I'd bet a buck the dad's got a "man bun".

My father had 2 longarms I didnt know about until older. They were left over from his hunting days as the youngest of 6 hunting brothers. Eventually he got them out again and showed me how to fire them at our uncles mountain farm (great when you can just fire into the dirt). Still has them and we all bought handguns when MD was going to adopt the fingerprint law.

Yes, all designed to propagandize weak-minded fools.
It’s the oldest Communist trick in the playbook.

A liberal
But then that negates that "right mind" thingy, doesn't it?

I did see that, but had to deal with a phone call. When I went to respond it just seemed like something a mother would have written rather than a father. My prejudice, I suppose.
To: servo1969
Dear Amy:
Tell the mother of that lovely child to be happy she is protected by her daughter.
I might say to Amy and the mother to sit down and stfu.
But I won’t.

According to my research, possessing hollow-point bullets is illegal in 11 states; is it legal in your state to own this sort of exploding ammunition?
Hmmmmm....
I’m surrounded by idiots....
