FBI agent in Eric Greitens probe indicted on perjury charges
Washington Times ^ | 6/17/19 | Heather Hollingsworth

Posted on 06/18/2019 3:38:54 AM PDT by Libloather

A former FBI agent who was involved in the criminal investigation of former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens turned himself in Monday after being indicted as part of a perjury investigation.

William Tisaby surrendered to authorities on the same day that an indictment against him was unsealed. He then pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and was released on his own recognizance under the conditions that he surrenders his passport and informs a probation officer of any travel plans.

The indictment charging him with six counts of perjury and one count of tampering with physical evidence was filed under seal Friday in St. Louis Circuit Court. The indictment alleges that Tisaby lied under oath “about matters which could substantially affect, or did substantially affect, the course or outcome of the Greitens case.”

Tisaby, who lives in Trussville, Alabama, was hired last year by St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner to investigate allegations that Greitens took a compromising photo of his hairdresser and threatened to share it if she exposed their affair in 2015, a year before the Republican was elected governor. The indictment noted that relying on an outside investigator was “contrary to normal protocol.”

This goes against everything Sean Hannity has taught us; 99.9% of the rank and file FBI agents are salt of the earth, good people. By the way, Hannity’s parents were in law enforcement. His father was a clerk in family court and his mother sold Budweiser @ the 79th pct.

Apparently from the article, he was a former FBI agent working as a private investigator hired by a state prosecutor at the time the alleged perjury was committed.

You are so right.

I like hannity, but he doesn't know how much he aggravates his viewers with his constant false 99.9% bullshit.

There are good and bad in all organizations, but the fbi 'rank and file' sat on their hands and did nothing while justice was corrupted.

This is not a one time incident, it is the culture of the fbi, top to bottom.

These holier than thou pricks, do what ever they think is best to win, not who is guilty or innocent.

There is a reason FBI agents do not record their interviews or their interrogations.

If you want to shut down a FBI agent just pull out a recorder.

"...Sean Hannity has taught us; 99.9% of the rank and file FBI agents are salt of the earth,..."

Makes me crazy when he spouts that garbage. The FBI has always been a corrupt organization. Just look who ran the joint for almost 40 years. The Constitution meant nothing to Hoover and, since he was the one who set policy, the Constitution was similarly irrelevant to Hannity's 99%. And given the obvious criminality over the past 10 years, coupled with the odd behavior of Chris Wray, I see nothing to indicate that the bureau has changed much at all.

This was apparently an outgrowth of a disturbing trend - Dem states attorneys in local places don’t like the opposition so they use the power of the state, sometimes corruptly, to sideline them through investigation. We see this in NY State with a horrible state AG turning over every rock to get at Trump and the odious Manhattan DA, Cy Vance, son of that odious foreign policy clown, foiled in trying to put Manafort in Rikers Island prison, an horrific state facility when he has been convicted of federal crimes.

...

I don’t think he was an FBI agent when this occurred.

It’s a fake headline.

Unfortunately Hannity is on my 3pm drive home radio. I cannot handle more than a few seconds of his monotone, staccotic, diatribe once its launched. When he starts his show with long bantering with his producer and staff I know he didn’t do any show prep.

Rush and Dennis Prager almost always do their prep and are far more fluid, imaginative, wide-ranging and capable than Hannity.

"I don’t think he was an FBI agent when this occurred."

Do you really think that the fact that he's no longer an active agent has suddenly affected his mindset any? If anything, it's easier for a free agent to break the rules.

“William Tisaby surrendered to authorities on the same day that an indictment against him was unsealed.”

Why didn’t a swat squad surround his home at 3 AM and break into his house (a la Stone, Flynn, and Manafort)?

It's the "my contacts tell me" part of show biz. He fronts as a PR arm and they provide him with juicy tidbits not widely known to the public and it makes him appear very connected.

Your right, most of his audience sees through it and he doesn't know it.

Tisaby denied to take notes during his interview of the hairdresser, although a recording of the interview that he initially said was unwatchable because of an equipment malfunction showed him taking notes.

FBI sure seems to suffer an awful lot of equipment malfunctions.

FBI guys being “hired out” to investigate.

If I understand that correctly, that’s a new one for me.

Nice part time job.

And yet not being a current FBI agent, he still maintained his “integrity.”

Hannity is the one who is largely responsible for getting information to us regarding one of the biggest, if not the biggest, scandal in American history. He’s been a pit bull. He deserves a medal.

Unfortunately Hannity is on my 3pm drive home radio.

Find an oldies station. I can watch Hannity with DVR so that when he goes ten minutes into his 'monologue' I only watch the first 2 minutes.

I can no longer listen to him on the radio.

I tried on my way back to PA from VA a coupla weeks ago, but he and that nit wit Linda, with a big gum chewing, NY/NJ mouth, got into a personal pissing contest about some inside baseball spat.

That was the first time I tried to listen to Hannity since I retired {around 2003-2006, I did consulting work, part time, for a few years}, and I won't listen again.

Gimmie that old time rock'n'roll.

But the men and women in the field ARE ALL GOOD PEOPLE, right, Hannity?

If you’re on a jury, and the FBI was involved in any way, you must vote to acquit.
