First off, we are NOT ‘avenging’ Japan or Norway. We are protecting and defending Freedom of Navigation for the US and, by extension, everyone, as we have done since the days of the Barbary pirates.

Secondly, we are capable of walking and chewing gun at the same time. One can interpret America first as meaning guard the border, and that to me is one priority. But that doesn’t mean we let the mad Ayatollahs run amok destabilizing the markets and trade for us as well as the rest of the world. Stability, both economic and financial, is a US interest.

Their ain’t a single damn person outside the frothing war groupie bubble who believes that for an instant.

Where’s that resolve to protect and defend on our border? The selectiveness of this resolve exposes it as a fraud.

We went to war against the Barbary states because they were seizing our ships an men. We did not go to war to protect some other countries ships.

I'm not so sure about that. The dismal record of the past 100 years -- ever since WWI -- is that when it comes to foreign policy we're just not very good at it. We got played by the British and French, who flattered our egos as their big strong and righteous friends (we're suckers for anyone who tells us we're righteous). We got played by the Soviets and the Chicoms. We get played by EVERYBODY in the Middle East. President Trump, please fire your neocon advisers. America first.

This is the same load of s*** different abstract excuse to goad us into yet another conflict for some nebulous, abstract "American interest."

This endless cycle of madness will never end until people like you are finally told to STFU and sit down. This idiocy has gotten us a bunch of dead people and trillions in debt.

If President Jefferson had sent the U.S. Marines "to the shores of Tripoli" to protect Japanese and Norwegian ships while 5,000 Mexicans and Indians poured into the U.S. unimpeded across the Appalachian Mountains every night, he would have been tossed into the Potomac River with an anchor chained around his neck ... and his estate at Monticello burned to the ground.

Problem with that is those beating the war drums loudest fully support the open borders agenda. Given that I see no reason to support them on this at the expense of American blood and treasure. If they want to help POTUS close the border than I am fine with giving some ground on the Iran issue.
