FoxNews: “This is a rush transcript from “Watters’ World,” June 15, 2019.

[FOX NEWS HOST] JESSE WATTERS: continuing...

“...bike riders are exposing the impact of climate change by exposing a whole lot more, taking part in a world naked bike ride.

Joining me now one of the organizers of the naked bike ride in Chicago, Elizabeth Tieri.

All right, so Elizabeth, what does it feel like to ride naked through the streets of Chicago?

ELIZABETH TIERI, ORGANIZER, CHICAGO NAKED BIKE RIDE:

It’s really empowering.

WATTERS:

Empowering.

Why is it empowering?

TIERI:

Because you get to be with this enormous mass of cyclists who are like minded and shout your message to the city and to the world.

WATTERS:

And you’re completely naked on the bike seat.

There’s nothing else there.

TIERI:

I wrote in my underpants.

WATTERS:

Okay.

TIERI:

People wear what they choose, and we say bare as you dare, whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Some people are fully clothed, but we encouraged people to be as naked as they feel comfortable riding.

WATTERS:

And what is your message when you’re riding around naked in Chicago?

TIERI:

The purpose of being naked is to express how vulnerable we are as cyclists on the road.

We want cars and pedestrians and people to recognize that we’re exposing ourselves to anything that happens on the road. ...”

WATTERS:

And there’s a climate change message wrapped up in all this.

Am I wrong about that?

TIERI:

Not at all.

There’s definitely a climate change message.

We like to celebrate freedom from oil.

We ride our bikes so that we’re not car dependent. ...”

To show how utterly stupid these people are...
We like to celebrate freedom from oil. We ride our bikes so that we’re not car dependent. ...”

The efficiency of the human body at converting fuel (aka, food) to motive energy, is 18% to 25% for a well conditioned athlete. That food was grown by tractors powered by fossil fuels. The food was processed with fossil fuels. The food was transported to distribution centers by fossil fuels. The food was kept refrigerated in transit by fossil fuels. The food was delivered to supermarkets by trucks powered by fossil fuels. The perishable food was kept cold in the supermarket in refrigerators running on fossil fuels. The lights, inventory control system, and cash registers all are powered by fossil fuels.

So, if you account for all the fossil fuels to get that food into your mouth and the crappy efficiency of your body at turning that food into energy, you are a HUGE ENERGY SINK that could be avoided by NOT cycling and driving to the store. The notion that you are saving energy by riding a bike is absolutely preposterous. There's a reason that we aren't all sitting on statonary bicycles and generating power.

But nobody ever accused leftists of being rocket scientists.

Empowering? Okay, you can stop right there. Anytime that word is used there’s no need to read or go any further. It’s all bullsheet. Unless you need a little laugh.

How much oil and power was used to make those bikes? If they were truly concerned, they’d walk everywhere in their bare feet but they don’t because this is just for LOOK AT MEEEEEE!!!

We like to celebrate freedom from oil.

It’s awesome those bikes are made from metal and rubber that didn’t require any oil or other fossil input at any point in their mining or manufacturing or transportation.
