Idiots like this are going to divide this nation in a way that even a war will not be able to preserve it.....
Completely bogus in that the controversy originated with the elected official who wanted to cancel the event. Now that people are debating his stupidity and ignorance of American history the event must be canceled due to the controversy that Angelo Kyle, himself, fueled.

Will, it may have ended that way but it didn’t start out that way. The result was it Freed the Slaves at the cost of hundreds of thousands of Lives and countless Life changing injuries.
History is supposed to be historical, not hysterical.

Agree completely ! I've been to this event several times and have enjoyed it each time.
The Irish who are European did much of the very hard labor of that era. They also built railroads and dug canals.
The Democrats are like indulgent parents who spoil their children. The more indulgent the more rude and nasty they become.
