President Donald Trump committed treason when he said he would accept “dirt” on political opponents from foreign countries.


So “committing treason” is saying you might do something in the future in a hypothetical situation. That’s not how the Constitution defines it and in the case of “treason” the Constitution is the “controlling legal authority”—or has that been changed now?

Also, all he said was that he would listen if someone said something. He didn’t say he would act on anything that he heard in any way whatsoever.

So it’s TWO stages away from using the information.
