It's a burnout position. Just like Chief of Staff. I think most presidents go through several of them during their Administration.
In other words, nothing unusual here about her leaving after nearly two years service.
But she did do a great job and I think she's going on to better things.

This is true, and she has 'stuck it' in an extraordinary way. I can't recall a press secretary who had to contend with everything that she has. I'm very sorry to see her go, but I don't think she will cease to be a warrior for the conservative cause.
