The problem with Duterte is he actually wants to solve his nation’s problems. Otherwise he could “feel no ways tired”.

Duterte was pushed into the run and Presidency.

He didn't want the job in the beginning and refused to run for some months.

I personally think he's been a remarkable President and influence on the Philippine people and his departure at the end of his term will leave a dangerous void in Philippine, and Asian politics.

The man is, if nothing else, brutaslly honest and I SO hoped he and Trump could connect somehow.
