Two issues:
running up the score - while goal differential is a factor, over the last several World Cups, when goal differential is used to break a tie, it is never more than 2 - 3. Play slow, play with one less, take long shots to change possession.
Celebrating goals 9, 10, 11, and 13 - no real excuse, tone it way down.
I can understand, I personally have coached and I know enough to win graciously, and also be certain the game is put away before playing with inexperienced players who will benefit from more playing time. But this tournament is structured with minimal substitutions and a benefit to a high goal differential. I would say it goes with this match structure and it does brighten up the game to have a lot of scoring.
The US women did dominate the game, and others will also dominate the Thailand team. They will be better in future world cups.
