Not US ships, not our problem. That said, hopefully the flagged countries will take steps to destroy all assets of the Iranian navy. Slap them hard.
No one knows who is responsible. It could be a false flag operation. Iran might not be responsible; there are more than enough belligerents to go around in that region, and a lot of players who would benefit from a rise in oil prices.
I’m sure the combined military assets of Norway (Andrea Victory) and the Marshall Islands (FRONT ALTAIR) will wreak havoc on the Iranians for these attacks.
Marshall Islands registered vessel. The Marshall Islands is a semi-dependency of the US, so it kind of is the US’s problem. What puzzles me though is Britain seems to be leading the investigation or taking responsibility. How is this our problem?
That is a reversal of about 240 years of US maritime policy standing for free navigation of the seas for all who are not belligerents against the US. This is the reason we have a Navy.
Why do you want to pay $1 more per gallon? I don't. Hopefully this will resolve peacefully and we'll forget it in a week's time
Wow—are you that much of a warmonger eager to get our troops killed—and unaware how false flags drive modern warfare?
“Not US ships, not our problem.”
1. One of the ships is flagged in American Samoa.
2. The free flow of commerce on the open seas has been a US burden since the time of Thomas Jefferson. It’s the entire purpose of the best Navy in the world.
The entirety of Western Civilization is dependent upon #2 above.
