Absolutely right. It's one thing to promise to provide sufficient funding and encourage efforts that may lead to a breakthrough in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. It's quite another thing to just come out and promise to cure cancer when you have no way to guarantee that promise will be fulfilled. It's not only irresponsible, it's also cruel to give false hope to those suffering from this terrible disease.

I was surprised to hear him say this because I have been careful to temper my own opinions in his presence, knowing that he would be under pressure to conform at school and would be punished and ostracized for expressing ideas that are unwelcome and contradict the propaganda.

Biden told Obama he had the cure, but Obama made him promise to hide it. Obama was worried that if they cured cancer, people wouldn’t be so upset about their insurance, and he couldn’t trick people into voting for his ACA.
