Watergate witness John Dean, answering the House Judiciary Committee's call to testify on this Monday, told CNN what he plans to say at the 2 p.m. hearing.
"What I'm going to try to do...I'm clearly not a fact witness, but I hope I can give them some context and show them how strikingly like Watergate what we're seeing now, and as reported in the Mueller report, is.
"So I've taken several examples from the Mueller report relating to obstruction of justice, which is their focus today, and looked at those and made the comparisons," Dean said Monday morning.

If Dean doesn’t have any direct knowledge of what was contained in the Mueller report, he should not be asked to testify since he has nothing to contribute besides one of a million opinions that are out there. His testimony is irrelevant.
I’d bet that Nadler and the other Rats are not happy about that.

This is pathetic. The House of Representatives can invite whoever it pleases to testify on subjects they have no information on, so why not invite someone entertaining? Maybe Bill Burr or Kevin Hart to do some standup - they’d have as much information to share about the failed Trump investigation as John Dean, and they’d definitely be more interesting to listen to.

Late in the thread we have a modest reference to “call girl” but everyone should be aware that John Dean, according to some theories, may have pshed the break-in at the Watergate himself. His then new bride, a former courtesan by some accounts, was involved in DNC information and Dean wanted her protected.
