They should ONLY be paid the absolute "Living Wage" in the state that they represent. No more.

I have no problem with this. But the pay raise doesn’t stat until the democrats pay back all the money required to complete the Trump investigation that was never supposed to be done.

Let’s see, that comes to:

Between May 17, 2017 — the day Mueller was appointed Special Counsel — through Sept. 30, 2018, his office spent $12,287,852. This includes $7.3 million on salaries and benefits, $1.3 million on travel and transportation, and $2.2 million on rent and utilities. In the most recent of the three expense reports filed, the Special Counsel’s office also says it spent $15,618 on printing and copying needs.

Settle up there and we’ll see you get another $4500 a monthly making it $228K a year. So, just write that check to the President Trump’s administration for $261,443.68 by all 47 of you democrats and start getting your raise. It will take you over 4 years to see the raise from the debt to pay ration you accomplished. But you’ll need to get re-elected so you can see any of it. But I hope you get beat so you can’t do this again. And try to do something in the time remaining for the good of the country and not for yourselves. Then you honestly say you earned the raise. It’ll make you feel better about yourselves for a positive action rather than a negative one.

There pay raise should be tied to a performance goal. About the only way we can get them to read summaries of lobbyist written bills.

House members did not fund the border wall. They did not recognize that there is a border crisis. They have thwarted the President and the will of the people at every turn. The Rinos are included in as well. Why wasn’t Obamacare repealed? Many voted against the Emergency declaration.

Now Democrats waste more money on nonsensical investigations. Where are the Republican voices of outrage?

I would like the President to VETO this bill if it makes it that far. Why the he*/ should Congress get a raise?

I have often referred to our con-gre$$ as the biggest welfare class this country has ever produced. They get a bite on Americas teet and like a bulldog they refuse to ever get off. We pay this scum and villainy for the rest of their useless parasitic lives.

NO!!!!!!! I don't think Congress needs a pay raise and I know more Americans agree with me than disagree with me on this.

We did not send these pigs and vultures to D.C. to try and live more luxurious and comfortable lifestyle than the rest of us. This is NOT what the founding fathers wanted. You know it and I know it.

These pigs and vultures have made it very clear they are there to serve us, only themselves. Instead of moving like the majority of Americans want, they want to impeach and replace who they know full well is a duly elected President with that rapist enabler, Hillary.

If they go through with this pay raise, then it's pitchforks time, simple as that.

NO PAY RAISE!!!!!!!

The Average Joe in Congress (there are 529 of them) gets paid $174,000 per year. But not everyone is average; the speaker of the House gets $223,500 a year, while the majority and minority leaders of both the Senate and the House, along with the President Pro Tempore, get paid $193,400 per year. - https://www.nolabels.org/blog/congressional-compensation-how-much-do-members-of-congress-get-paid/

In 1935 it was $10,000; in 1975 it was $44,600 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salaries_of_members_of_the_United_States_Congress
