I very much doubt Roy Moore will run again, and even if he does, he won’t get near to the primary vote he did two years ago. The religious right failed to come out for him in the December, 2019 vote because they fell for the “young girl” thing, mainly due to their wives and daughters negative remarks at home about him.
They wouldn’t say so, out loud, but their absence on voting day was deafening.
Put it this way—only HALF of the Trump voters from November 2016 voted, and ALL of the Hillary voters voted. What should have been an easy win for Moore was a slight defeat. That’s how much Republicans outweigh democrats here. NOT getting their vote was a disaster. That can’t happen again and it won’t.

Yesterday, I received a request for a donation from the “Senate Conservatives” for an Arnold Mooney, whom they are supporting to run against Jones. Evidently this group is one run by Jim DeMint. Is there any G2 on him?
Mooney’s a state rep from up around Birmingham. I’ve not heard much about him. He’s not my rep. I’m by Montgomery.

Cong. Bradley Byrne (who’s run for governor before, losing, but known state wide) and former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville are already running in the GOP primary. Both are very well known in the state, so Mooney will have an uphill battle, much as Mo Brooks did two years ago.

I understand what you are saying but I think this time they have really screwed the pooch. This time they have broken things beyond repair. The “DOJ” has been so biased, acted so criminally, and everyone can see it on both sides. One side is just happy it ain’t happening to them. There is no path to “status quo ante”.

I don’t think there’ll be indictments. Do Hillary, Comey, Brennan, etc., look scared? Are they still on American soil instead of in a non-extradition country? No; none of the above.
If a day comes when they aren’t on the media bashing Trump, and are nowhere to be found, we can be hopeful. Bt it won’t happen.
