That’s it. A national protest rejection of Kay Jewelers is in order.......
I wonder how he felt when she said, “Just doing my job...”
Wonder who they’re gonna call if there’s a hold-up?
From the article:
“Kay Jewelers responded on Facebook, saying they sincerely apologize for the mishandling of this matter. The business said they were in the process of reaching out to the deputy involved.”
I’ve done business at Kay. If the above is true, I’m satisfied. Would like to have read the employee was admonished, but of course the employee might be a protected homo sapiens.
Sounds like he had already paid for the ring. Couldn’t they have brought it out of the actual store to him? He could have called in LEO to say that the store was refusing to give him the ring that he paid for. That might have been interesting.
I agree that a boycott of this jewelry chain is in order.
Every Diss begins with Kay? ;-)
I assume the manager has been let go.
Obviously not too smart or a bit off mentally.
Well, he’s got a gun and handcuffs. If you ‘interfere with government administration’, you are subject to arrest. I’m surprised he didn’t haul the store manager down to the pokey for a spell.
In front of the manager he should have called VISA and cancelled the payment to Kay.
So, When Kay Jewelers is being ROBBED , a deputy must leave his service weapon outside the store before coming to help?........................if they come at all, now...........
Egad. They should now hang a sign that says “Come rob us, no armed Law Enforcement allowed”.
Every killing begins with “K”
Why should I ever do business with you in the future unless the managers of your store on the Turnersburg Highway in Statesville, NC, is fired for insulting an Iredell County deputy attempting to pick up a pre-purchased engagement ring?
If you wish to degrade law officers, my business will never come your way and I will ask all my friends to do the same. I am
Most sincerely yours,
DC Lee
Are these people ever going to be of value? Or are they always going to be typified and defined by their abject stupidity? Inquiring minds, and all.
I don’t understand the store’s policy.
If you are a bad guy with intention of robbing the place, the store’s policy would not stop them.
If you have a conceal carry permit, and your weapon is not visible, the store employee’s would never know.
So it seems the only people that would be turned away would be uniformed police officers. Does that make any sense.
I wonder who hires these idiots?
Why is it that the standard wimpy corporate response when they are caught out is to institute more training for what should have been the most simple of commonsense responses?
Now would be a great time to rob that Kay jewelers store.
Hahahahaha
This insane policy of no weapons on premises has finally come full circle. Now even an on duty police officer is being asked to disarm himself before entering a store.
Of course a private enterprise has every right to limit what they want on their own property but thats not really the point. If we cant even trust that an on-duty officer wont rob the store while picking up his own ring, where are we as a society?
Law abiding citizens everywhere are being given more and more restrictions on their 2nd Amendment rights via store policies (and airports and government offices and courthouses) and the only ones who dont obey are, guess what criminals! It has the exact opposite effect of whats desired. It disarms law abiding citizens and thus leaves arms only in the hands of criminals, at the most vulnerable of locations.
This story only reinforces that fact. What if some armed robbers entered that jewelry store at that time and robbed the place just as the officer left the store? Wouldnt that be irony! But just dessert to be sure.
