Why does John Brennan STILL have his security clearance a year after POTUS Trump revoked it?
The National Sentinel ^ | 6/6/19 | Jon Dougherty

Once again, more evidence has emerged proving not only that the “deep state” is real, it has become an existential threat to the president of the United States and the security of the country he was elected to lead.

On Thursday The New York Times published a report noting that Attorney General William Barr would be ‘professionalizing’ the effort against the intelligence community (the deep state’s core element) after POTUS Donald Trump “somewhat clumsily last year to revoke the security clearance of the former C.I.A. director who played a role in opening the Russia investigation.”

That would be former CIA Director John Brennan, one of the most vociferous anti-Trump voices on the planet clearly the guy who facilitated “Spygate” on behalf of a criminal president, Barack Obama.

"...elements within the deep state deliberately refused to follow the president’s order..."

The question is why do the "elements" still have their jobs?

It's long past time to clean house.

May still have the clearance, but likely not granted the access because he no longer has a need to know. Most probable is his access has been administratively downgraded to essentially none. If no use of his clearance in a couple of years, he would have to go through a reinvestigation, but without a need to know, he won’t get one. Easier than trying show cause and having the clearance revoked.

For intents & purposes, the Communist b@$t@rd is dead in the water.

“”” From the tone and tenor of the Times report, you get the impression that Brennan’s clearance was never revoked, and that elements within the deep state deliberately refused to follow the president’s order to do so.

That’s exactly what happened, according to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who says he witnessed the order first hand.

“What do you think about this recent New York Times story that Brennan still has his security clearance?” CNN host Brianna Keilar asked Paul Wednesday evening during an appearance on the little-watched network.

“People talk about the Deep State, now the Deep State’s actually protecting their own and not listening to the President’s orders,” Paul said.

I was sitting in the White House when President Trump said ‘I want his security clearance taken’ and I saw the order given. I saw the Chief of Staff was there, not the current Chief of Staff, the previous Chief of Staff.” “””

Can probably thank John Kelly

You know what else is somewhat clumsy? That sentence. Needs a verb after POTUS Donald Trump. Tried? acted?

What does “somewhat clumsily tried” mean anyway. Does the president have the power to revoke a clearance and if he issues an order to do so, why is it a clumsy try? Why isn’t it just plain old insubordination?

He should be read off EVERYWHERE! He should not have access to any classified material, regardless if his clearance is “revoked” or not! If he does then it is a huge problem!

As a point of order, he doesn’t “still” have a security clearance, the second the CINC gave the order, he no longer has a security clearance. Period, full stop.

The question becomes whether he is currently unlawfully accessing classified material, and adminstratively whether subordinates failed to follow up with their duties after a lawful order. A “whiff of the grapeshot” so to speak, is long overdue in government “service”.

Wankers

Unfortunately that is harder than it should be. The ENTIRE government is resisting Trump. Trump has NO allies in the bureaucracy and cannot fire any of them because of Civil Service protections. Hussein’s second level appointees were facilitated into the Civil Service before his term ended so that they are unfirable or it is so arduous and difficult a procedure that more than a miniscule few cannot possibly be gotten rid of without getting Congress to get rid of whole Departments and Agencies. The salvation of the Republic is going to come down to a Napoleon moment and when it happens, of course, the Republic is at an end de jure as it is already de facto.

There are four or five posts today that are missing crucial elements like that. It seems to be a trend. Maybe it is in the new Stylebooks.

They can only pull a security clearance for cause, and there is an appeal process, etc. Pushing back would take a year +.

Agreed, the question is access, how do you get into secured buildings. Ya need a pass. That can be restricted on a need to know basis.

However, there are many, many depositories for classified intel that have minimal access restrictions if you have the right clearance.

Agree. Don’t know for certain, but am reasonably confident his access has been administratively downgraded to zero, and he is not seeing classified info at this point. When his clearance is not active for a couple of years, he must apply to get a renewed one, and at least while PDJT is in office, that’s not going to happen.

I think it was yesterday when Sen. Ron Paul was on one of the programs when this Brennen matter came up and Paul said he was with the President when he gave the order that the clearance be removed. Apparently one of his staff refused.
