The last sentence in the article claims that Trump does not like silencers-AT ALL.

This is troubling.

I think we need a law stating that whatever firearms regulations are applied to citizens should be applied to the military, federal law enforcement officers, and local and state police first. That way we can test the efficacy of the regulations first. After all we have seen members of the military and law enforcement conduct mass shootings and other crimes.

So once the Army, Marines, US Special Forces, CIA, FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and other groups have all destroyed their suppressors, then perhaps we can discuss banning them from civilian ownership and use.

In the mean time we can see if taking away the suppressors from the military and federal employees causes any reduction in crimes, violence, or anything else important.

I wrote the WH on an e-mail form.

I am very disappointed that President Trump speaks about banning silencers/suppressors after the mass shooting in Virginia. This appears to me that he is trying to appease his opponents through incremental controls on guns when a suppressor has nothing to do with the violent rampage. It seems that his knowledge of why people purchase suppressors/silencers is not understood by this president.

After the next mass shooting incident will he ban handguns or perhaps rifles?
If he does not back off on this I will ABSOLUTELY sit out the 2020 election.

Please come to your senses by using logic and reason.
