I hate to admit it, but I think he will win this case. Its already been decided that a police officer does not have to place himself in danger, with the chaos that he will claim was going on, the confusion, I am willing to bet he will be exonerated.

His legal bills will wipe out any retirement he has now, he might as well plan on moving to a big city and disappearing into the crowd of anonymity to get work, but when it all comes down after the appeals from a strictly legal point with no emotional testimony by family, he will walk I bet. :(
