It’s a whole different ballgame under Gov. DeSantis. He’s already gotten rid of a lot of the “supporting cast” for this stupid Sheriff (a lot of places in Florida don’t have police departments but are under the county sheriff) and made this county and others change their policies. I live in Florida and believe me, we’ve been watching this.
DeSantis is also working on elections reform. He’s quiet, but he takes no prisoners.

I think it was the other way around. Obama and Holder took Broward’s policy nationwide. Look into The Broward Promise. It was formal policy between the school system, sheriff’s department, and other governmental and non-government stakeholders.
