WHAT IS THIS INCOME INEQUALITY?
I heard a woman on one of the Sunday political talk shows round tables, don’t know her name but she was young and obviously liberal.
She spouted a list of things currently wrong with the country. Along with climate change, and other liberal causes, she lamented because income inequality was on the rise.
Say what?
Income inequality is, by the name, when incomes are not all equal.
Has that ever been the case? What am I missing here? Should a carpenter make as much as the CEO of a bank? Should a fast food employee make as much as a carpenter?
If anything were ever left to the market place it for sure is salaries. The gubmint, only once that I remember and I was a victim of it, dictated salaries for non-government employees. Save for minimum wage, one might argue.
I think the income inequality term most often refers to male employees versus female employees. I was a woman’s libber of the highest order back in my youth (not that I’m proud of that) and at that time women were receiving less money than men for doing the same job.
At least that was the assertion of the day. For 15 years I worked at a big manufacturing plant, Western Electric, and we had a union. Salaries were the same regardless of sex.
After that job I spent the rest of my working life mostly doing payroll and running accounting departments. Since I do payroll, indeed did payroll for almost ten years at Western Electric, go with me on this….I KNEW HOW MUCH PEOPLE MADE!!!
The men did not make more than the women. Salaries were based, as in most places, on seniority.
So if we didn’t have all this so-called inequality back in my day 50 years ago, we do not have it now.
Which is not to say that there are not men making more than women doing the same job out there in the world. Salaries….take it from a payroll professional, are based on whether there’s a union, the minimum wage of both state and federal, and length of time on the job. But there are exceptions, strange reasons, relatives of the owners…on and on and on. But mostly salaries are in the same range as males vs females, indeed, even white vs. black. An employer wants somebody who works hard, does a good job, shows up on time and regularly. They mostly do not care about color of skin or type of genitals.
Just somebody want more people to feel aggrieved and vote for the Democrats.
Heh.
PRESIDENT TRUMP MEETS THE NEW JAPANESE EMPEROR
It’s Memorial Day and all across the country the sailors and marines sing. The navy marches and the Coast Guard performs drills.
It’s a patriotic day. VP Pence presided over the ceremonies at Arlington cemetery. President Trump?
Heh.
Well he’s in Japan.
Meeting their new emperor.
Damn, I didn’t know Japan still had an emperor. I thought they threw that guy out after Pearl Harbor.
President Trump….that man never seems to rest.

TARGET PROMOTING A HOMOSEXUAL LIFESTYLE
Seriously, it’s not that most of us much care about who one sleeps, whether one is male with a male partner or female with a female partner or, in some odd cases, a female sharing bed with a male.
But of late, and I speak of the last 20 years, it’s not enough to not be nosey and not be nasty to those who lead a quiet unobtrusive lifestyle, however different. Today we are to smile and ooh and aah over the lesbians, gays and transgenders amongst us.
And now a big drug store is contributing big bucks to not only teach young students to be polite and live and let live, now they are giving money to ENCOURAGE such lifestyle.
Is this really necessary?
I am willing to live and let live but to have my grandchildren and descendants live in a society where they are encouraged to live lifestyles not in keeping with the call of nature, never mind religion or God?

Target is also donating $100,000 to the Gay, Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an organization whose primary focus in on indoctrinating school-aged students into organizing "gay" clubs in public schools across the nation.
GLSEN also offers lesson plans for elementary school children on "gender-neutral" pronouns and terminology as part of the Common Core curriculum as well as introducing gender ideology to third-graders.

SPEAKING OF SEX OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
I didn’t know that Indiana had a ban on abortions based on the sex or other health details of the fetus.
. Evidently the Supreme Court is all busy deciding cases and stuff and the court refused to reverse a lower courts ban on such bans placed on abortion.
Seriously? It’s okay to abort a baby that is a boy when a girl is desired? Maybe we should start aborting based on nose size, body type, anything the parents don’t like can allow abortion, even after birth now, or so it seems.

Instead, the three-page opinion offered procedural reasons for the different, if perhaps temporary, outcomes in both cases.

Folks, Former VP Biden really needs to be removed from the public forum and more importantly, he needs to keep his hands to himself.

MUELLER HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE
Seems ole Bob Mueller is closing up the special investigator’s office and retiring.
He refused to answer any questions but he garbled things a bit, declaring that President Trump did many things that were indicators of obstruction of justice.
What a bunch of bullshit.

WASHINGTON — Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel, on Wednesday declined to clear President Trump of obstruction of justice in his first public characterization of his two-year-long investigation of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.
“If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mr. Mueller said, reading from prepared notes behind a lectern at the Justice Department. “We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime.”
He also said that while Justice Department policy prohibits charging a sitting president with a crime, the Constitution provides for another process to formally accuse a sitting president of wrongdoing — a clear reference to the ability of Congress to begin impeachment proceedings.

HEH. PRESIDENT TRUMP REFUSES TO REFUND MUELLER GOLF MONEY
This is interesting. Seems Bob Mueller belonged to gold club owned by Trump. When he wanted was a refund of his deposit when he decided he wasn’t getting enough use of the club

From Rush Limbaugh In a footnote in the Mueller report, pages 80 and 81: “In October 2011, Mueller wrote a letter to the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, resigning his family’s membership, explaining, ‘we live in the District and find that we are unable to make full use of the club,’ according to footnote 529 in the redacted report.
“In the same letter, Mueller asked ‘whether we would be entitled to a refund of a portion of our initial membership fee,’ which the report says was paid in 1994. The [Trump] club responded about two weeks later saying the resignation would be effective October 31, 2011, and that they would be ‘placed on a waitlist to be refunded on a first resigned / first refunded basis’…”
Now, Trump has claimed from the start that Mueller resigned his membership at Trump’s golf club in Sterling in October 2011 due to a disagreement over fees. Trump said he believes Mueller still holds a grudge, and it’s 15 grand, apparently. Mueller wanted a $15,000 refund on his membership. I can’t tell you, folks, the number of people that join golf clubs. You pay to join these damn things, and supposedly if you resign or if you’re a member long enough and you resign, you get some of your deposit, some of your initiation fee back. It never happens. I mean, it happens so rarely that people signing up for these deals ought to realize that they’re not gonna get the deposit back. It’s just a come-on. But, anyway, it’s actually in the Mueller report.

BILL COSBY DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE CENTURY
As I watch Joe Biden fondle young girls I recall Bill Cosby. What a disappointment this guy was. Thinks it’s okay to bring in a female to service him sexually at his convenience and no mind what she wants.
At first I thought all the accusations were lies, told to destroy his reputation as a black man disenchanted with how blacks acted to embarrass him.
Or something.
Hey guys….you only show yourselves to be big thoughtless Jerks when you do this stuff. And don’t tell me the females you exploit enjoy it. They do it because it gets them the job. If you think that woman busy pleasuring some guy she doesn’t even know….I got a bridge to sell….cheap. Got a few bad spots on the supports but I’ll sell it cheap.
Even if you are a once-beloved comedy show host, you were a hypocrite and you destroyed your reputation of a lifetime. Bill Cosby, what a disappointment.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S WRONG WITH MY DOG
But she will live.
Jackie is now 8 years old. I got her 4 years ago, a shelter dog, then 4 years old.
From the very first she began some strange things that continued for the past years since I owned her.
She eats afghans.
NO NOT AN AFGHAN PERSON, afghans….like those things I crochet.
Or towels. Sometimes she eats blankets.
After eating maybe half a towel, it takes a few days and she throws up the digested towel.
The “throw-up” is not vomit-like. It’s very dry, I could pick it up with my bare hands.
I’ve tried changing food, yes to the Vet, feeding less, feeding more, NOT keeping towels or afghans available but she’ll eat the rug.
I give up.
An episode of afghan-eating and subsequent throwing up happens roughly once a month. It’s not difficult to clean up. I get a plastic bag and grab the dry pile of digested fibers. There is not left even a mark on the floor.
I think something is wrong with her digestive system. When I got her she had just been spayed. She suffered almost a week after but I cared for her back to full health. Since then she has been healthy, loves to exercise. She seems like a happy dog but once in a while she eats half a towel, hacks and coughs, and a couple of days later, throws it up.
I was even making her home-made soup every week, assuming well chicken soup is gentle on the digestion, no? But the afghan-eating continues, she lives on.
Again, I give up.
I will not have her x-rayed with a surgery involved to cure…..
I am careful how I feed her and all that but something is wrong with her. I can live with it and so can she.

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED WITH THE USS JOHN S. MCCAIN?
I consider this a serendipitous little story but I think I’ve figured it out. And while the media and Democrats want to act all insulted frankly I think it was the right thing to do.
Bearing in mind, in the interest of truth and honestly, I could not stand John McCain, not ever, not during Sarah Palin days, after he insulted us…his very base. Do not forget he is the one who turned over that fake dossier to great fanfare, he would not allow Trump to attend his funeral, he was a man of great temper, a fake make up to look human.
It wasn’t Donald Trump who told them hide the John S. McCain name on that ship from eyes that need not see. Let us bear in mind that this ship was name first for the McCain grandfather, next for the McCain father, and finally for the recently deceased John McCain.
I don’t really think President Trump needed to see that. Trump, like me, despised McCain, as so many mean, evil and lying men are despised.
It seems it was the “White House” who asked that the sign be covered during Trump’s recent trip to Japan.
I think it was for the best.
But I remind, as I always do when speaking of McCain, that I sleep better every night due to that man’s efforts on campaign finance reform.
What a guy.

HERE The White House wanted the U.S. Navy to move “out of sight” the warship USS John S. McCain ahead of President Trump’s visit to Japan, according to an email reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
The ship was named after the father and grandfather of the late senator—a war hero who became a frequent target of Mr. Trump’s ire—and -the senator’s name was added to the ship in 2018.

WHO WAS THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER?
I have the answer at the tip of my tongue.
President Jimmy Carter.
Many might think that President Obama would be my nominee for worst president but no. By me, President Obama was …well first he is very handsome, gotta throw that in. Second, he has a pleasant personality and knew enough not to torture those he was the leader of.
I suffered through the presidency of Jimmy Carter.
First….GAS LINES!!!! Young people today will never know what it’s like to sit in gas lines for three or four house. But I could not get to work without gas in my car.
Indeed, gas lines. What President ever had that happen on their watch.
Second…HOME MORTGAGE INTEREST RATES!!!
I owned a home, my greatest dream at that age, with a reasonable interest rate of 9%. Today that would be considered very high but while I was paying 8%, people around me who wanted to buy a home faced 30 year mortgages of 18% interest or higher.
The home buying market dried up.
So there you have it.
Sitting in gas lines for two hours to get to work to spend entire salary on 18% mortgage.
Of course there was also the Iranian hostage thing and much more.
And still I see that creep turd sitting at national events like he should have some pride, this failure of a man.
He lasted 4 years and next up, President Reagan.
