Key Senate Republicans are pushing back against President Donald Trump’s threat to impose new tariffs on Mexico to stem the flow of migrants, though it’s unclear whether lawmakers will take action.

Those opposing Trump are the very people that helped get us into this mess in the first place.

’ A number of GOP senators...’ who are beholden to Mexican interests and will gladly carry their water rather than uphold the laws of this country or work towards the betterment of the USA.

But the multitudes of Republicans supporting it aren’t mentioned.

The media are nothing but drama merchants for ratings.

The House Ways and Means Committee’s top Republican, Kevin Brady of Texas, called for a resolution between the U.S. and Mexico to head off the tariffs.

Joining Grassley in opposition to the tariffs were pro-trade Senate Republicans Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Martha McSally of Arizona, John Cornyn of Texas, Joni Ernst of Iowa and Rob Portman of Ohio, whose votes Trump will need to pass the USMCA.

That deal now faces fresh peril...

Ahhhh.... the media doing their bit to scare people and help drive the Dem agenda.

Remember when Nixon would negotiate with the Soviets and every tiny setback or halt in the negotiations was blamed on Nixon? The media (and Dems) would scream for fresh U.S. concessions to get the negotiations back "on track".

Yep! A LOT of Republicans, including Martha McSally, value cheap labor over freedom and culture. There is a reason why McSally lost to a bisexual who mocked Arizona. And then Gov Ducey appointed her to the Senate. ;>(

Good, USMCA is scam and worse than NAFTA. NAFTA didn’t have LGBT anti-discrimination language in it.

The same person who lead the negotiations for America was the guy who spearheaded TPP. We should all hope it fails.

There are lessons to be learned from Brexit and the rise of the Brexit Party.

The GOPe and the swamp should take notice.

“Joining Grassley in opposition to the tariffs were pro-trade Senate Republicans...”

pro-trade Senate Republicans???

As opposed to all those Republicans who are anti-trade?

Does their exist any human being opposed to trade, that prefer to go hungry rather than engage in trade? As in trade, the sought after goal in the history of human endeavor.

I used to live in Texas, and would hear businessmen complain of the lack of tariffs, brought on by NAFTA, crippling their businesses.
