Fox News headline writers are idiots. The term is “jig” not “gig”. As in “The jig is up”, which is a very old term meaning the plan or scheme has been revealed. . A “gig” used to mean a job playing music, typically used by jazz musicians from the ‘50’s but now used by everyone to describe their job. I fail to see how the two terms can be seen as interchangeable. Stupid internet.

We had a "Jigs and Fixtures" department that had been around for about fifty plus years. They forced us to rename the department and to stop calling our tooling Jigs.
Apparently drill jig is a racist term.
