Service Employees International Union Local 775, it seems, would do anything for a buck, including continuing to collect dues from a former member. Its now learned its limitations.
On March 29, the Seattle-based union reached an out-of-court agreement with a Spokane home caregiver, Cindy Ochoa, following its admission that one of its canvassers had forged her signature on a membership card. Ochoa, with the help of a nonprofit legal group, the Freedom Foundation, had filed a lawsuit in federal court in October alleging the union had violated her First Amendment rights, unlawfully withheld part of her wages, and caused emotional distress. Local 775 agreed to pay $15,000 in damages to her and $13,000 to the foundation to cover its legal fees, and send her a written apology.

Unions are like the Mofia
Once you join, you can never leave
in Cal public employees could pay in kindness which went to charities or somewhere. It was an opt out choice from the union which was pro abortion etc. Took them 20 days to get her the form and that was after she called the Governor’s office.
So when is the “union rep” (thug) being indicted for fraud?
ABOLISH ALL government unions.
In SEIU’s case, they are the Mafia.
For many years I was a member of a public employee union. In 1998 I was told by the local President that my job description didn’t entitle me to display license plates on my car that support the memorial for members that die in the line of duty.
I asked him if he was sure that this was how nitpicky he wanted to get. He said, “we all need to follow the rules.”
I did a little research and found a clause in the contract that allowed me to opt out of paying dues if I made a notification 30 days before the end of the contract, which happened to be about 3 months after I removed the plates.
When the local President found out that I was no longer paying dues, he approached me with all of the board members and asked why I wasn’t being a team player.
I told them “the local President told me to follow the rules, so I decided to follow ALL of them.” Those license plates cost the Union $4000 before they did away with that contract clause.
I saw a lot of powerful people in my 35 years who had their own rules and then used the rules for others when it suited them.
SEIU, still true to its Communist Party origins.
Unions forging signatures, tell me it ain’t so!
Probably just a carry over from what they do for voter registration for the DNC. Gotta do something during their down time at the hall.
