The group is pushing back against the ordinance, claiming they have all the necessary paperwork for construction. Founder Brian Kolfage called today's conference to unveil their progress so far, as well as answer for any tensions between his non-profit and the state of New Mexico.

Doing the work the GOP-e refuses to do.
I guess we pay Senators to talk.
Can we save a bunch of money by firing them all and then just playing previous speeches on the Senate PA system?

We also pay them to have sex with any man, woman, or non-binary they can find - or rather, we foot the bill when they have to pay someone off.

When they’re busy doing that, they play the previous speeches on the PA system. Nobody ever notices.

Repeal of the 17th Amendment of the Constitution would be a great start to reining in the Senate.

17th Amendment was added in 1913 when good times lulled the people to sleep.

Repeal would return selection of a State’s U.S. Senator to adhere to the selection process specified in the Constitution of that State. Prior to enactment of the 17th Amendment, States had multiple methods to their State’s U.S. Senator selection.
Some States had their Senator appointed by the Governor or selected by the State House of Representatives – these were the most common methods of selection. Some States had provisions for immediate recalls of a State‘s U.S. Senator which ensured State interest were represented in the Federal Government.

The selling point to Repeal of 17th would return control of the U.S. Senate to the State as prescribed by our Founding Fathers.

As the 17th Amendment/Constitution is - there is no recall provision for US Senators.

The Amendment repeal process is NOT easy, but necessary.

I recall the leader of a small splinter party in the Knesset, Chaim Katz I believe his name is, trying to light a fire under the police to go into a Bedouin village to retrieve an Israeli farmer’s stolen sheep. The police refused to do it. So Katzele and one of his other party members mounted up on horses, and told the police: “We’re going in. You can let members of the Knesset be murdered in a Bedouin village, or you can escort us as we retrieve this poor man’s flock.” The police escorted them in, they retrieved the flock, and there was no incident.

THAT’s what I call constituency service! These numb-nuts in Congress don’t know a thing about it. Katzele is now retired from public life, but I wish there were more like him.

What they are saying now is that the City of Sunland Park says they don’t have the right permits, blah, blah, blah.

However, I also read today that the landowner has been in possession of the land prior to statehood and that changes how the land rights interact with land use and zoning laws.

Meaning the city may have no say over the matter and the lawyers are busy studying up.

The Queen’s lawyers would continue engaging in sophistry and obfuscation as the country is lost, barely noticing...
