I didn’t see him so much as “lying”. I saw him as “spinning”. He never should have verbally approached this from the perspective that they didn’t find Trump innocent. It was clearly for the court of public opinion because he knows the law.
There’s bald-faced lying and lying by spin and obfuscation...he knows Barr now realizes how dirty he is and he wants to try to legitimize anything Barr does...defending the Deep State so they don’t toss him under the bus to save their own corrupt asses....ironic how he tried to put President trump between a rock and a hard place and now finds himself in his own trap.....and the trip spring is making some creaking noises.
