CNN is preparing to make substantial cuts to its London-based television news operation in a move that is likely to result in at least a dozen employees losing their jobs.
The announcement was made by Jeff Zucker, the CNN boss, at a “town hall” meeting on Tuesday in the company’s office in central London.
Staff, including some managers whose shows were affected, were given no advance warning of the announcement, according to some of those present. Zucker told them that the international channel was losing $10m (£8m) a year, according to those present.

CNN has no need for such superfluous staff as reporters. They simply need some on air personalities that will scan the headlines, and if anything is negative, or can be twisted to look negative regarding President Trump, embellish it.

I still don’t understand why ATT hasn’t sold CNN since it acquired it through the Time Warner Purchase. At a minimum, they should have fired Zucker the day after the acquisition.
(By the way, it's interesting that Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien are still friends, and both have said that Zucker's actions were to blame for the mess at NBC.)
