Disney started out entertaining kids. I wonder what Walt would say if he knew his company favors killing kids today while catering to the mentally ill queers? Poor Mickey.
There is a lot Walt wouldn’t like about modern Disney. In addition to the corporation’s position on social issues, there is the fact that the parks have lost some of their charm. The quest for more money no matter what it takes has changed things. Walt was a business man, but he also had a real appreciation for art and “imagineering”.
Walt was a conservative, Christian, anti-communist, pro-family Republican. There’s no way in hell that he’d approve of his company supporting abortion, homosexuality, etc. But, alas, Walt is long gone ...or at least on ice ;)
The Disney family no longer controls the company, and even if they did, it might not matter. One of Roy’s granddaughters is an abortion-supporting, Obama-voting left winger. See:
