Full title: Office of Inspector General Finds Top FBI Official Illegally Leaked to Media – Including Sensitive Info Sealed by Fed Courts – DOJ DECLINES PROSECUTION

Well, I can understand that. They’re still working on their backlog of people who were copying VHS tapes back in 1982.

Despite the fact that this senior FBI official, who was not named in the summary, clearly broke multiple laws, the Department of Justice declined to prosecute the individual.

we need a special prosecutor

Who are they talking about? The reference, from page 430 of the OIG Report, does not name individuals.

“although FBI policy strictly limits the employees who are authorized to speak to the media, we found that this policy appeared to be widely ignored during the period we reviewed (April/May and October 2016). We identified numerous FBI employees, at all levels of the organization and with no official reason to be in contact with the media, who were nevertheless in frequent contact with reporters. The large number of FBI employees who were in contact with journalists during this time period impacted our ability to identify the sources of leaks. For example, during the periods we reviewed, we identified dozens of FBI employees that had contact with members of the media.”

In a separate thread, Freeper be-baw pointed out that this likely does not refer to Andrew McCabe, who was Deputy Director (DD), but might be Peter Strzok, who was a Deputy Assistant Director (DAD).

It might also be any other DAD who happened to be caught up in the review, but whose actions were found to be insignificant/non-criminal, unlikely to result in conviction, or who may have made a cooperation deal with prosecutors.

Barr is not in charge of the DOJ apparently.
Proof was Mueller’s presser today and this further confirms.

Please ping when indictments are handed down.

Otherwise, just more DC Kabuki theater. Nothing happens.

For what reason does the IG office exist?

Why can’t the current AG decide to prosecute. The case wasn’t adjudicated and dismissed with prejudice. The statute of limitations has not run out. Make this the first of many, AG Barr.

Yeah, now they are in big trouble.

I see reports every few months that lay bare their crimes. But I never see 5am FBI raids with a platoon. I never see them bankrupted with threats to harm their son like they did Flynn. I never see them thrown in solitary like Manafort. I never see them and their lawyers gag ordered like Roger Stone.

nothing.

A complete waste of time and money. No prosecutions.

Except if it were a conservative

“”this”” high ranking FBI official leaked sensitive information, including the existence of information that had been filed under seal in federal court multiple times, “”they”” were still not charged.

I’ll try this again since the other thread was pulled right before I replied....How did “this” (singular) become (”they”) plural? “A” person can become more than “one” when in DC? Well, that might be the answer to some of our questions. It must be how the dems always get more votes than there are voters!

I’ve long contended that IG’s are absolutely useless and a waste of our tax dollars. They are like the old TV commercial, “Oh! we only monitor. We don’t XYZ.” Except they do one more thing - WRITE REPORTS!

Yeah. We already knew that.

They should just let us know when the FBI DIDN’T do something illegal. It would save time.

After much thought, conclusion is that these crimes are a nothing burger COMPARED to what’s coming.

Hopefully.
