Take the classes. Pay the fees. Pass background check. Permit issued. Mrs. L and I both have ours. I work in Chicago and carry every single day.

As far as I know, you need a F.O.I.D. card, 16 hrs in a classroom/range and a couple hundred bucks.
I haven't heard of any particular problems with CC in Chitcago, but I haven't really paid much attention to what goes on in that chithole either.
