Years ago was in school with a guy who was clerking at a local D.A. office. One of the cases he was working on involved a man who was shot point blank in the face with a 9mm and survived.
circa 1970s we had a parolee walked into the El Monte PD to kill a detective. No gun. A cop shot I’m with a .38 between the eyes. Knocked him down. He lived.
In the institution, we locked him up and he bent the bottom of a cell door up and crawled out of his cell, just to show he could.
