Rev. Franklin Graham Calls Day of Prayer for Trump
Breitbart ^ | 26 May 2019 | DR. SUSAN BERRY

Posted on 05/26/2019 11:30:37 AM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Evangelist Rev. Franklin Graham is leading a group of more than 250 Christian leaders in calling for June 2 to be a “special day of prayer for the President, Donald J. Trump.”

Graham posted his call to Facebook, asking for Americans to respond to his post:

President Trump’s enemies continue to try everything to destroy him, his family, and the presidency. In the history of our country, no president has been attacked as he has. I believe the only hope for him, and this nation, is God.

This is a critical time for America. We’re on the edge of a precipice. Time is short. We need to pray for God to intervene. We need to ask God to protect, strengthen, encourage, and guide the President.

We know that God hears and answers prayer. He can soften hearts and change minds. He is all-powerful, and He rules over the affairs of nations. The Bible instructs us to pray for those in authority, “that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior” (1 Timothy 2:2–3).

Graham is asking all pastors to lead their congregations on June 2 in praying for the president, and that Sunday schools and other groups would also join in the special day of prayer. The Christian leader also asks that “individuals and families across the country would have a special focus on praying for the President that day.”

“Would you let me know in the comments below if you commit to pray with us?” Graham asked. “And will you share this on your social media platforms so that we can have as many people as possible praying?”

[ Rev. Franklin Graham Calls Day of Prayer for Trump ]

Dear Breitbart, please use ‘President Trump’ in your titles.

Because, like, he’s the President, you know.

(yes they used it in the article)

CNN is planning to run an exclusive interview with Satan later today to discourage their listeners from participating.

Graham is correct. In times like these, we are reminded of America's Founders' principles and ideas, from which came our Constitutional framework for self-government.

"Ideas have consequences." - Weaver

Decades of liberal/progressive efforts to censor, erase and deny the underlying ideas of liberty upon which the U. S. Constitution was framed have had consequences, but that idea will continue to sustain those who honor the idea that the rights to life and liberty were, and are, "endowed by their (the People's) Creator."

Photobucket

Our Constitution embodied a UNIQUE IDEA. Nothing like it had ever been done before. The power of the idea was in the recognition that people's rights are granted directly by the Creator - not by the state - and that the people, then, and only then, grant rights to government. The concept is so simple, yet so very fundamental and far-reaching.

CREATOR

People

Government

America's founders embraced a previously unheard-of political philosophy which held that people are "...endowed BY THEIR CREATOR with certain unalienable rights.." This was the statement of guiding principle for the new nation, and, as such, had to be translated into a concrete charter for government. The Constitution of The United States of America became that charter.

Other forms of government, past and present, rely on the state as the grantor of human rights. America's founders, however, believed that a government made up of imperfect people exercising power over other people should possess limited powers. Through their Constitution, they wished to "secure the blessings of liberty" for themselves and for posterity by limiting the powers of government. Through it, they delegated to government only those rights they wanted it to have, holding to themselves all powers not delegated by the Constitution. They even provided the means for controlling those powers they had granted to government.

This was the unique American idea. Many problems we face today result from a departure from this basic concept. Gradually, other "ideas" have influenced legislation which has reversed the roles and given government greater and greater power over individuals. Early generations of Americans pledged their lives to the cause of individual freedom and limited government and warned, over and over again, that eternal vigilance would be required to preserve that freedom for posterity.

Pray and let us consider practical things we can do to help: Get rid of the Dept of Education sans government research grants for national security, and give education back to the states and counties.

Cut off the indoctrination centers. We have zero chance continuing down this route.

The forces of darkness are trying their best to strangle out what little light is left.

Christians should unite behind the President. And there is no such thing as a Christian who votes for and belongs to the Democrat party.
