The election [May 23] of 170 part-time dilettantes from the eurosceptic Left and Right might shake up French or Italian politics. It will change absolutely nothing in the governing structure of the EU.

Trumpian ideologue Steve Bannon deems the European Parliament vote this week to be “one of the most important elections ever” but he has never tangled in earnest with Germano-European deep state. The EU’s permanent machinery will reassert iron control once the noise has subsided.

Yup,understood. Europe has a Swamp too. I think Pat Condell,a British youtuber whose videos on European politics and culture are absolutely spot on,once said “the European Union is very popular with politicians because it's been very *good* to politicians”.

I think the Brits should treat their separation from the EU as a revolt or revolution. Just tell the EU “na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye”. And, just leave. Start over as an independent, sovereign nation as it once was.
