I remember when the biggest employer near there was Lockheed and Moffet Field (P3 Orion).
Google and FB now clog traffic nearly all the time.
Ding, ding, ding - we have a thread winnah!
No one who works in Vail can afford to live there either, but from what I remember they have a large mobile home complex setup for seasonal workers (appropriately out of sight, down in a valley). Can’t Alphabet, with their vast wealth, figure something out? (This involves pretending they aren’t motivated by covetousness for a second.)
They are TOTALLY INTOLERANT of those who are not quite as fortunate.
Googleville?
Pelosiville?
I don’t understand how people who can’t afford an apartment can afford to buy an RV.
Just because you can afford and apartment doesn’t mean you can FIND an apartment!
Henry Ford figured this out a LOG time ago.
What gets me is the lower paid workers are willing to work for lower pay with rent so high.
If you do not get enough pay to cover your basic rent and living cost, you need to find another job or move to a location where you can find work that pays enough.
If enough people do this, rent will come down and pay would go up to keep people in the area to help run those companies.
The government does not need to fix this, people need to walk off the job and find a cheaper place to live... I have a friend who move to the South from Ca because of the cost of living, Him and his wife found jobs, and are living better in the South...
Yeah, but they can also pay for an internet connection and their worker’s can stay in mom’s basement.
In Connecticut.
These aren’t luxury RVs they’re buying.
This would be your ‘high end’ model

This would be more typical

Beats living in a van down by the river.
You can pick a used one cheaply off of Craigslist
Liberals. We need say no more.
Maybe the construction workers can tele-commute to work by creating a virtual campus... Problem solved
NOW we are thinking OUTSIDE the lines!
Often when you are in these things, you don't realize it. They don't come with branding packages, catchy taglines and movie trailers announcing their arrival.
Glad Google is closing it and bringing them all into their nice air conditioned building with the snack bars and restrooms and free social media. Oh, wait, uh, never mind.
In truth, these RV folk are moochers.
I hate tourist season here. You never want to drive behind an RV because they dump poo on the road instead of paying to dump it where it’s supposed to be deposited.
LOL, 6 figures and living out of dusty old Trailers!-)
