We are not a Democracy! We are a Representative Republic. Why? Because Democracies fail when parasitic citizens figure out they can get leaders to steal from others do they can get stuff free. That is what is happening right now on the USA. Just look at the Democratic Party candidates offerings. But once upon a time a Democratic Party President said something like “Ask not what your country can do for you, but, what you can do for your country.” Does This sound like today’s Democrats?

To Mr. Sears. G-d is the answer.

Just like Madison and other Founding fathers, you must have a moral and educated people to maintain a Republic.

Oh, btw no mention of a “democracy” anywhere Mr. Sears.

Natural law and nature’s G-d Mr. Sears. I know that concept is hard for you to accept, but that’s reality.

The founding fathers understood all this which is why the limited the right to vote.

Male, over 21 and land holders (taxpayers).

Now any 18 year with no real life experience nor any skin in the game can vote for every socialist program put in front of them.

By the time they have mature and realize what world they created with their vote it is too late as another batch of no nothing children vote in more social programs.

‘It’s time to hold voters accountable for their choices’

I thought the IRS was doing that

Sounds like the WaPo would like to punish those who don’t vote the politically correct way. Their idea of democracy?

Think of the massive ignorance this displays.

And just what do we do to people who voted for a Kenyan, Islamic Fundamentalist, enemy of our nation and way of life?

Shoot them?

Kick them out of their homes?

Prevent them from buying or selling?

Probably not...

But those folks who voted for a man trying to stick to our Constitution and laws, now there’s a guy whose supporters should get the full treatment. /s

Screw you Washington Post anarchists...

So in short, be an obnoxious a-hole to any relatives who have the temerity to view the world differently from how you view the world.

Is anybody surprised this comes from a Leftist?

"Government accountability is an idea that draws bipartisan support: calls for more transparency and oversight of politicians and bureaucracies go over well with voters. But what about oversight of the people who put them in office?"

Yeah. What about those who put Ted Kennedy in office resulting in the immigration disaster we have today?

What about those voters who put nearly every breathing Democrat into government including people like Maxine Waters and Barney Frank, whose housing policies like the Community Reinvestment act and forced lending disasters caused millions of Americans to lose their life's savings in the housing crash?

What about those voters who put Lyndon Johnson into the White House resulting in policies that destroyed the black community in America?

What about those voters who put Jimmy Carter and other Democrats into office whose weak and rudderless foreign policy gave us the Middle East we have today?

And so on. Yeah, why won't we hold voters accountable?

This is what guys like him really want:

When Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn led the domestic terrorist group Weather Underground in 1969, a chance meeting led Army veteran Larry Grathwohl into joining the group. Grathwohl served as a courier, running messages between the group’s leadership (called the “Weather Bureau”) and individual cells that were to carry out attacks.

Grathwohl was also an informant for the FBI.

In an interview from the 1982 documentary No Place To Hide that recently surfaced, Grathwohl discussed what the Weathermen intended to do after overthrowing the U.S. government, including what they would do with those Americans who refused to embrace communism.

I asked, “Well what is going to happen to those people we can’t reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?” And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated.
And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers.

And when I say “eliminate,” I mean “kill.”

Twenty-five million people.

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people.

i posted the following on the WaPo:

This is what we have come to in the Republic; a call from someone who obviously considers himself on the moral side of our democracy for retribution against those who do not agree with him or vote for candidates who represent —to him— a moral hazard.

It must be wonderfully liberating to be part of a power elite within the educational system that can see himself as a moral arbiter for the nation as a whole. Isn’t he the perfect little fascist, wanting to dictate to others how they must thing and participate in our public life? The Left never sees themselves as power hungry elites; they are only philosopher kings with the best interests of every plebeian inferior at the heart of their rule.

However, the flip side of this argument is that those he considers to be his moral inferiors might choose to take up his argument and hold him personally accountable for his ideas and take action accordingly.

This guy needs to go back to his academic ivory tower and forget about bleating his clarion call our to the real world. Or the next thing you know, his tower will be surrounded by mobs with pitchforks and torches who think he is a moral hazard that shouldn’t be teaching their children
