Voters have endorsed a controversial reform of Swiss gun law to bring it into line with European Union rules.
Final results show the reform winning 63.7% of the ballot on Sunday. The result was much closer in some rural regions, though voters in canton Ticino were the only ones to reject the legal amendment.
Ownership of semi-automatic weapons will now require regular training on the use of firearms and a serial numbering of major parts of some guns to help track them.

43.9% voter turnout.
This is illustrative as to why it is so important to not only get as many people thinking in favor of freedom in 2020, but to get them to VOTE. Trump won by only 78k votes....
They have the dreaded NRA active in Switzerland?
Who knew???
tragic.
They said no criminal information on EU people would be available without passing this law. So, the EU brings in millions of crazies and wouldnt tell the Swiss that these people were crazy, when they came to the Swiss border.
That takes a special sort of stupid to use yourself and your own destruction against a sovereign country with strong gun laws.
Unfortunately, too many folks won’t miss guns until they’re part of a line up in front of a long pit.
Schseizer dumbkopfen.
They don’t have the NRA, but they have their own equivalent, ProTell (the name is a reference to William Tell).
The executive Vp of ProTell wears very expensive lehderhosen.
Bwahahaha!!! (I almost can’t breathe because I’m laughing so hard.)
Track them?
In case they escape?
