Life in the Left Lane. Here on St. Croix we do, in fact, drive on the left. Many historians believe that driving on the left was a custom carried over from the days of Danish rule, and when the U.S. Virgin Islands became a U.S. territory no one ever bothered to change it.
Took just a little while to adjust, but it isn’t really much of a problem. What did surprise was how courtesy other drivers are. Traffic is rather heavy and the roads aren’t the best. Folks will flash their lights or honk the horn to let others out of a side street. Can’t imagine that back on the mainland. As much as I want to leave here I must say the place we are staying is something I could only ever dream about. Would post a couple of pictures if I had the technical expertise.
