In his first television interview, Attorney General William Barr said his initial review of the origins of the Russia probe has produced more questions than adequate answers.
"It wasn't handled in the ordinary way that investigations or counter intelligence activities are conducted. It was sort of an ad hoc small group. Most of these people are no longer with the FBI or the CIA, or the other agencies involved," Barr told Fox News' Bill Hemmer in the interview that aired Friday morning.
The attorney general said that he wouldn't "speculate" if there was "spying" on the Trump campaign as President Donald Trump, who nominated him, has said repeatedly, including in a tweet Friday morning.
Barr told Congress last month he believed "spying did occur."
"I don't want to speculate," Barr said. "What I will say is I've been trying to get answers to questions and I found that a lot of the answers have been inadequate and I have also found that some of the explanations I've gotten don't hang together. In a sense I have more questions today than I did when I first started," he continued.

Is this a little bomblet?
CIA and other agencies involved?
Up to this point I don't believe we have heard Barr say anything about the CIA or "other agencies involved".
The Russian lady lawyer who met with Trump Jr. in Trump Tower was supposedly on a list excluding her from entering the U.S. The State Department would have had to lift that exclusion. It should be a well documented procedure.
It would be really interesting to see what instigated her approval for entry. The whole episode sounds like an elaborate entrapment plot. With the CEO of FusionGPS talking to here multiple times before and after the meeting and the electronic surveillance set up by the FBI in place.
he did before
AG Barr on FBI Spygate Explanations: Inadequate and Dont Hang Together
It would be a miscarriage of justice if this investigation drags on beyond the 2020 election only to be swept under the rug should a Democrat DOJ takes power.
With all those agencies involved, the operation could only originate in the White House.
I would insert "What House or senate member were involved in this act of sedation ?
If they don’t “hang together’, can we hang them separately?
REMINDER US intel is there to protect the safety and security of Americans. It is not a political tool to be appropriated by a desperate half-cocked sitting president to knock-off the opposition. There was real animus toward Trump in the hacked emails of these intel people. The buzz is there were sotto voices all over the place looking to take Trump out. We know they are very good at rub-outs.
THIS WE KNOWFusion GPS, Hillarys apparat, the DNC, Brennan, and Obama officials-were laser-focused on destroying Donald Trump.
The FBI got involved using very suspect methodologies.
One crucial question is how early this all happened?.........
ITEMHillary Clinton ran in the 2008 and 2016 democratic primariesand in the 2016 general election.
ITEMS/C Mueller uncovered that the Russian collusion scheme apparently materialized sometime in 2014.
Now, heres the $64,000 question not addressed....Why didnt
the CIA or the NSA or the FBI pick this up?
Were Obamas CIA-co-ordinated PDBs falsified?
Probably-Brennan knew the Halfrican was too stupid to catch on.
Brennan got outed as calculatedly working the phony pee dossier into Obamas PDB.
Dates are important b/c Snowdens revelations indicate government spying apparatus began capturing all electronic data on Americans in 2001.
The Obama police state had a lot of help-our govt mastered the capture of all keystrokes, telephone calls and digital traffic by 2005.
This we know:
<><> (A) traffic travels through FBI computers, and,
<><> (B) the CIA keeps constant tabs on Russian spies in Russia....... and elsewhere.
Again. Why didnt the CIA or the NSA or the FBI pick this up?
I think it’s already been determined who let her in....
It doesn’t surprise that they picked a hard-to-pronounce word like ‘origins’ to label the treason investigation. Trying to trip up the President,
So why keep us in suspense . . . ?
Also, this part goes with the headline:
Barr also called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s charge he lied under oath to Congress and committed a crime ‘laughable.’
“I think it’s a laughable charge and I think it’s largely being made to try to discredit me partly because they may be concerned about the outcome of a review of what happened during the election. But obviously you can look at the face of my testimony and see on its face there is nothing inaccurate about it,” Barr said.
Can't touch me--I'm dead! Har Har!
I think it was Loretta Lynch that ushered in the Russian lady.
What we “think” does not matter in a court of law. Some much lower player could have pulled the trigger. I’m just pointing out that actions like that taken by the State Department should be documented.
It would be interesting to know who got the ball rolling and who gave the ultimate O.K. Once those endpoints are established then emails and text messages between those parties could be very illuminating. Remember that nobody expected Donald Trump to win when these administrative actions were taken. Thus, they were not likely to feel like they needed to hide motives. Text messages and emails from the period might be very damning legally.
It’s been reported that 0bama himself gave her permission to come to the US.
I would use the same kind of tactics on these people that Herr Mueller used on Flynn to get him to plead guilty to lying to the FBI, when the FBI found that he didn’t.
(We should send the Solicitor General to court to drop the charges against Flynn.)
