Property taxes are around $1000 a year for us. No more than 1% increase allowed. Everything paid off.

They’ve already got tent cities everywhere that are tax and rent free. This must be a racist law aimed at the working-poor illegals.

CA shoves their diversity and agendas of bad intent down their throats whether they like it or not. Nazi state!

Homeless people can’t afford to live in housing. Building more housing for homeless folks is like building more theaters for blind people.

single family homes are now racist? Why don’t they just tell the truth - multi-residences mean more tax dollars per parcel, more construction permit fees ($30K) and more electric and water revenue because of separate meters. And all that extra money will support the ever-increasing gimme population who already receive rent and utility subsidies.

As long as they aren’t forcing people to add more units, I have no issue with it.

I live in S. Utah and I live in apt unit created as a back house. Love it, I’m off the main road and I have a small yard. But I guess years after they did that, they built the big house BEHIND ME, it was the family home. They divided things and made a rental unit above the garage. Eventually, they divided the large basement into 2 other units. So, to be clear: there are six housing units on this property. And the big house is now rented by 3 people, dorm like.

In our case, it works well. Occasional problems with parking, but they are worked out by us for parties, yard sales, etc. Everyone is employed so we stay out of each other’s hair, given the disparate work shifts of all of us.

This also serves as the retirement income of our landlords, who are very nice people.

They had a picnic for the tenants this past Tuesday just to say “thank you.”
