A wall will reduce the number of people who make it across the border, and makes sense for that reason. But it won't eliminate the problem, and some will still make it across. The laws need to be changed to address that.

Graham also is 100% right on the need for more immigration judges.

I believe that for reasons of practicality of construction, the Wall (fence, whatever) is often not exactly on the border, it is a little inside the border. Some way to make that land inhospitable, but not inhumane, is needed.

As for increasing the detention time to 100 days, where the heck are we going to put these people?

Graham’s bill has some good points, but much more must be done to turn off the “magnet”.
