Very true. While there are too many Democrats to keep track of now, things will boil down to a more manageable number.
Normally, many fringe candidates drop out after the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary. I expect some will drop out this summer, as debates get under way, and it becomes clear some have no support and no fundraising money coming in.
