NY state, Vermont, and almost VA you can kill your unborn right up until birth.

I think that in at least one of those states you can also kill your child AFTER it is born! Of course, in any truly civilized country that would be considered an act of murder.
In pagan Rome, a girl child was often exposed to death.
The barbarians to the north (my crazy ancestors) would raise the girls.
In many civilizations, people view children as resource wasters. In barbarian cultures, they are often viewed as worthy.
If this culture today is civilization, I will be the barbarian.
