Tucker Carlson on FOX had Howie Carr on tonight and Howie said Durham tackled the Boston FBI 20 years ago and got innocent people released from prison, that the FBI wound not help out.
If there were innocent people in prison, and the FBI knew it, and did not exonerate them, the only reason I can think of they did not, is self interest, or else they were bad people and the FBI knew they were guilty of something, so they just let them rot.

FRI agent John Connolly who was a friend of gangster Whitey Bulger who did the murders, helped frame 4 people for the murders.
Two died in prison and Durham helped free the other two and convict the FBI agent who went to jail.

A little extra:
Robert Mueller, who was assistant U.S. attorney and then acting U.S. attorney in Boston for much of the period. Mueller "wrote letters to the parole and pardon boards throughout the 1980s opposing clemency for the four men framed by FBI lies.
