With the appointment of the U.S. attorney for Connecticut to investigate the origins of the probe into specious allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, a troika is now in place to get to the bottom of the biggest political scandal in American history: the weaponization of the federal government's law enforcement and Intelligence Community to sabotage a rival presidential campaign. It is already public knowledge that the U.S. attorney for Utah, John Huber, was appointed by former A.G. Sessions to investigate the Clinton Foundation and surveillance abuses. Inspector General Michael Horowitz is said to be investigating how the FBI handled the Steele dossier and Steele himself, as well as Stefan Halper, a CIA and FBI asset who attempted to lure George Papadopoulos into incriminating the Trump campaign by planting intelligence with him.

The appointment of Durham was not publicly announced, but reporters from outlets such as Fox News, USA Today, and the New York Times were quietly informed of the move.

So who is John Dunham, and why was he appointed?

Fox News says, "Durham is known as a 'hard-charging, bulldog' prosecutor, Fox News is told."

In addition, Fox tells us:

A little extra:

Robert Mueller, who was assistant U.S. attorney and then acting U.S. attorney in Boston for much of the period. Mueller "wrote letters to the parole and pardon boards throughout the 1980s opposing clemency for the four men framed by FBI lies.

I did a quick search to post on another thread on this subject and found these two articles claiming the Horowitz and Huber investigations were merely phony fronts to cover for the wrongdoing in the FBI and DOJ.

So far Huber has produced absolutely NOTHING. After 18 Months Huber Has Produced Nothing At All

Horowitz was hamstrung by a Catch-22 which prevented him from doing anything Mueller was investigating. Horowitz has produced NOTHING, as well.

Sounds like we've been conned by the DOJ. All Jeff Sessions' doing.

Funny how anything that is considered fraud any where else in our common domain is treated with some kind of respect as a normal legal process in DC. it was a fraud. File fraud charges in federal court.

Until people are sentenced to long jail terms and heavily fined for the attempted coup, I will be very skeptical.

Hillary is still free and will never be punished for the destruction and criminal acts she committed.

Yours matches the same thing my oldest son told me yesterday.

Oldest son recently graduated WIU with a degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement. One of his professors at WIU was familiar with both Barr and Durham and spoke of both frequently in very high terms in the last few weeks of the recently concluded semester.

Oldest son was ecstatic yesterday that he realized he'd heard about what was going on with the latest phase of the Russian Collusion Hoax before it hit the news.

BTW: Same professor that was speaking highly of Barr and Durham was with the FBI in Boston and worked the Whitey Bolger case for years. In his words, it was well known the FBI in Boston was "dirty" and there were agents on the take. Mueller was NOT well regarded either.

None of this is going to shake out well for Mueller's attempted cover-up and those responsible for starting the Russian Collusion Hoax and the Steele Dossier.

During a tour for youth in 1976 we were shown the FBI bldg. At the time, the FBI was cutting edge and they showed us some of their amazing techniques even back then. I remember I was in awe.

Little did I know I’d end up having over 30 years of administrative support law enforcement experience on my work resume.

It is a shame what James Comey, et. al., have wrought.

It was also mentioned in another article that Durham has been looking into matters for about 7 months - that started under Sessions...perhaps Huber was a decoy and meant to assuage the Dems’ curiosity as he never reported anything...

Oh...THE FBI KNEW THEY WERE GUILTY OF SOMETHING..???

UH, GUESS that means it’s ok with you. Good Lord, ugh.

No, I did not say it was ok with me. Did I say that was ok with me?

I am trying to understand the FBI mind set in the 70s.

I read a book recently on Al Capone. Lots of Chicago cops were on his payroll. Federal law enforcement at the time would harass and hound Al Capone and other mobsters on nit picking crimes such as "crossing state lines with a woman for immoral purposes", and other things that would not be crimes today, and for unrelated things that criminals today would not be charged with. The 70s were not that far removed from the 40s. J. Edgar Hoover was FBI chief until 1972.
